It’s no secret how much I like TWSBI products and I just discovered another pen that I can’t wait to get my hands on: the TWSBI Mini. As seen below compared to the TWSBI 540, the capped length will be 24mm (~.95 inches) shorter but the posted length will be almost 5mm (~.2 inches) longer than the 540 with no cap. I think this will improve writing with the cap posted because the 540 (and 530) has always felt awkward to me when writing posted and writing without the cap didn’t seem to improve the situation. The TWSBI Mini is said to be available in several colors, although specific colors have not been confirmed. It uses a Bock nib but a different one than what’s used in the 530 and 540 and features the TWSBI feeder system. They’re still waiting for all the parts to be finished so they can start test assembly. No word on release date or price has been made. As with all things TWSBI, we’ll keep you informed once we hear more.
