UPDATE: Well, would you look at that. The new Omas 360 turquoise demonstrator is already up at its exclusive retailer, Paradise Pen. Available with a 18k gold nib and limited to only 360 pieces. You can purchase yours now for $750.

Back in early March we told about Omas releasing the vintage 360 red demonstrator. After seeing pictures of it and then seeing it in person at the 2012 Chicago Pen Show I absolutely fell in love with it and I wanted more. So I assigned FPGeeks’ Noteworthy International Bureau of Science (NIBS) to find out more information. I don’t ask what methods they use to uncover this information and they don’t tell, but they’ve managed to come back with news of another vintage 360 demonstrator in a new color.

It appears that we may need to funnel some more funds into their tech account because all they were able to bring back was a black and white image of the new pen. They say it will be an exclusive and available very soon. Unfortunately, they weren’t able to break the encryption to find a price for this pen.

So, what color do you think it will be and what color would you like to see if the choice was yours?

I’m wondering if it is in fact Charcoal grey? I know it is black and white but still. Other than that I would love it to be a green of some sort or amber.. Then again, if amber it could be a TWSBI !!! :)

Oh Ian, not Amber, please. If they did that I’d be forced to buy one!

:) Can you imagine it in Amber! I am really hoping someone at next weeks pen club meet here has a 360 as I love the look of the pen but am really concerned about the comfort.

I think I saw this at my local pen boutique–a light, almost turquoise blue. Unless it’s an old color that they got back in stock. Very possible, since I don’t keep close tabs on OMAS.

Why does it look like everyone is starting to take queues from TWSBI? I must admit that Omas is looking more and more attractive to me but the prices scare me away.

I have the red – its fabulous!; I also have the first of these – the rose gold and darker textured blue anniversary pen – also fabulous. THis one is a bit same-old; nothing special except the limited number (yawn!) Concept done; move on.

this one is NICE but the red one is fabulous. Way to expensive for me. Hope to get a good deal for a red one 5 years from now.

Oh dear…I could resist the red, but this looks lovely :)

Gee, that’s a very pretty color.

One thing that I don’t like about demonstrators or transparent colors is the ink that beads up in the cap. I know it happens, but I prefer not to see it.

That turquoise, though, is very appealing.

I like the turquoise too, very nice indeed!

I saw one of these at my local pen store last weekend. They seem to have hit the brick and mortar stores but my favourite online retailers aren’t listing them yet – perhaps this pen is exclusive to Paradise Pens in the US, or perhaps OMAS are doing this to help out the brick and mortar stores? Anyway, it’s a nice enough colour, but I already have the red and dark blue and at one a year the 360 vintage LE’s were fun, but OMAS are going to release several per year it’s going to get old fast.

For the black and white picture, I’m guessing translucent grey with rhodium trim. The 360 Vintage I’d like next is green with yellow gold trim.
