Tom Oddo of Goldspot Luxury Gifts readily and unabashedly shows us what he’s got.

First and foremost, the pen that stared it all, a Parker Sonnet ballpoint in Matte Black with Chrome Trim. This pen was a gift from his wife (then girlfriend) and Tom uses it every day with a Monteverde Turquoise gel ink cartridge and a Fieldnotes notebook.

Based on the engraving, can you tell what was popular in theaters when Tom received the pen?

And Tom’s latest addition, a Yoda pen found in a box of cereal:

Tom Oddo Daily Carry Yoda

Tom praises the Yoda pen for being of high quality plastic and having meticulous detail. And really… who couldn’t find Daily Carry room for Yoda?

As is my custom, I have mis-identified one of Tom’s pens. You earn Geek Points for cleverly identifying the mislabeled pen in the comments below – without stating it outright. We don’t want to spoil the fun for future visitors.

*I think Jason got it already, but a lightbulb went off in my head, too! ;)

Oh, and I just bought the exact same Omas pen– theNew Bologna Aqua di Bologna–a week and a half ago with some birthday present money. Awesome pen! (and I love the rest of Tom’s collection)

Yes Jason guessed it. I felt something wasn’t ringing true when reading the names, but couldn’t quite put my finger on it. Thanks for the hint.

  • Scattered

You say Bologna, I say Baloney!

Some beautiful finishes on those – the Omas and the Edison in particular.

  • Darcy

That’s a lot of blue pens… the Yoda pen is my favourite, though.

I was also pleased to see the Edison in the pictures – would it be too obscure of me to think that it heralds great taste?

Being an LOTR geek, I especially {heart} the Sonnet engraving!  I love it!  But I’m particularly jealous of that Yoda pen!!

Hey Geeks, isn’t the pen you labeled “Edison Huron” really a “Herald”, or no?  Perhaps I am confused.  There are so many Edisons that start with “H”.  =)

Terrific pens and not a bit of rot in any of the trim rings!

  • Tamara

*Ah, a fellow lover of blue pens! I’d buy any pen if it came in blue ;) Nice collection.
