Just discovered that the commercial interruptions only pause the taped broadcast. Yay!

The regular J Herbin bottle is far from ugly, though. Apart from the Iroshizuku and edelstein bottles, they are arguably the nicest looking, and the pen rest is cute. Functionality is another matter entirely.

I was in a Montblanc boutique (San Francisco) recently to pick up my repaired Semiramis, and I asked about the LE Blue. At first, the guy didn’t know what I was talking about but then said they had only one bottle, then another salesperson said that it was being sold only with an unspecified pen, and I expressed skepticism (“Really?”), and then they agreed that that was the wrong information. I said I just wanted to see the color. They didn’t have samples, so the guy let me dip my Semiramis (and I made sure it was a very quick, shallow dip) into their only bottle of the LE Blue… and I thought it was a little too teal for my tastes. So I didn’t buy it.
Later, seeing the color again on the receipt where I’d scribbled a couple of squiggly lines, I thought, “Oh, that’s pretty. But I would never use it.” So not buying it was the correct choice for me.
I suppose, ah, in hindsight… that the bottle of ink is no longer mint. Hrm.
