I am AMAZED at the number of well put together videos that Stephen puts together for his passion of fountain pens. Well done! I highly anticipate the Inkcyclopedia. :)

Fabulous idea. I hope you’ll do some irongall inks early on as I’m afraid to use them until I know more about how they affect pens.

So far, I have only used Montblanc Midnight Blue, which is an iron-gall ink – and it has given me no problems. Montblanc does recommend to clean out the pen regularly, and that seems to make sense!

Cannot. Wait. Thank you!!!! I’m sure this will only increase my already large ink collection, but it will be fun :)

i really appreciate all the work that is going in to this, Eric, Dan and especially Stephen, thank you! Who knows, this may turn me into an inkophile yet! I am very much looking forward to seeing this all unfold. I hope there will be a broad spectrum of inks other than Noodlers as I do not use those inks as I have not had good things happen to my pens when doing so.
Would be great to see inks from the major manufactures of pens noted as well, sheaffer, Parker, Mont Blanc, Waterman and such as they do not seem to get as much coverage as do the likes of Noodlers PR, J herbin and so on and sometimes for a lot of people it is only the pen manufacture brands that they are able to access

I have a few Noodler’s inks (some I like, some I don’t). I intend to review them, as well as J. Herbin, Parker, Waterman, Diamine, and Private Reserve inks – so I will include non-Noodler’s inks!

I will like you to add a paper chromatography test to your routine.

This is hilarious and charming, just as expected from SBRE!

I especially like your point about cotton swabs vs nibs and the apparently “silliness” of using a swab to demonstrate color in a manner that most non-insane people would not experience, unless pointy objects were forbidden them. I’ve purchased several inks on the basis of swab samples and am disappointed nearly every time. Thanks for acknowledging this.

I’d like to know what ink was used in the logo/masthead of Inkcyclopedia, please. That shading in the blue is wonderful, if real, rather than Photoshopped.

Steven, When are we going to get an INDEX? Sorely needed – and should be easy to build. Something like the FPN’s Ink Reviews index would be just fine.
