Great job! Great ink. Much better with the additions of the copy paper and the 6mm nib. More please.

    Love the Inkcyclopedia :)

I love seeing these inks in action, especially when they are colors I am curious about but haven’t tried, which both have been so far.

    And I now want a cuppa…

Great stuff Doc! The additions make a great improvement.
    Thanks

I think the writing was a bit dark; I’ll try to improve lighting even further next time, as well as the focus. I hope that the video is still useful in combination with the pictures of the writing!

i am a FP newbie. The only J. Herbin ink that I have tried is Cafe Des Iles – love the color and shading, but it clumped and skipped so bad in my pens. How does this color compare with Cafe des Iles in terms of hue? I have seen some reviews where is has a green component which I would rather not have in my browns; I’m not seeing too much green in your video.

I haven’t had Lie de The skip an awful lot. Also, it didn’t dry out or clog my pens. I don’t use Cafe des Iles a whole lot, but if I remember correctly, it’s a very dark brown. Lie de The is a bit lighter and yes, it sometimes has a greenish tinge to it but that depends on the paper and the pen too.

It goes without saying that this is also one of my favorites ;)

Many thanks to “Inkcyclopedia Brown” (fans of the Donald J. Sobol amateur detective series will get the joke ;) for another great ink review! I have Lie de The in my ink stable and I love using it. Oh, and thanks for adding the “copy paper” ink sample, Stephen.
