The newest addition to the Platinum #3776 Century line is the Shoji, a light blue demonstrator fountain pen. Platinum has already done the clear demonstrator with the Motosu, which was limited to only 2011 pieces and sold out fairly quickly. The light blue in the #3776 Shoji represents the color of the morning sky over Lake Shoji, one of the five lakes on the north side of Mount Fuji. Like the Motosu, the Shoji will also be a limited edition fountain pen but with an increase to 3,776 pieces. It utilizes the cartridge / converter filling system and is fitted with a 14k gold, rhodium plated nib in your choice of SF(Soft Fine), F(Fine), M(Medium), and B(Broad) widths.
The #3776 Shoji features Platinum’s patented Slip & Seal Mechanism cap, each one individually number below the clip ring. The pen measures 139.5mm long by 15.4mm in diameter and weights in at a feathery 20.5g. The Platinum #3776 Shoji is available for a retail price of $270 with a street price of around $216.
