I don’t think it’s any secret that I’m a fan of Sailor Pen Co. While I try to keep tabs on every new fountain pen released (no easy feat for one man!) I especially like to focus on Sailor and what they release in the Japanese market. There are a lot of Sailor pens that don’t make their way Stateside, but thankfully, this Professional Gear Regency Stripe will!
A rhodium stripe and barley corn pattern adorn the barrel, adding a little weight and a lot of style to the pen. It utilizes a cartridge converter filling system and includes two cartridges and a converter with the pen.
The Sailor anchor logo adorns the crown of the cap, identifying this pen even when it is tucked in the pocket.
Normally available only in Fine, Medium, Broad, and Zoom nibs, if you order your Pro Gear Regency Stripe from Nibs.com then this pen is available with the full range of Sailor 21k rhodium-plated nibs: Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, Medium-Fine, Broad, and Music. But, if that’s not enough nib options then you can also get your choice of rhodium-plated Sailor Specialty Nibs. Just be aware, prices rise quickly with those specialty nibs.
Being a Pro Gear, this pen measures in at 129mm long when capped and 16mm in diameter. Retail price of this pen with any standard nib unit is $690.00 but is available at Nibs.com for $552.
