The 2012 DC SuperShow began to take shape in the early morning hours of Thursday, August 9th. Eric and Stephen were busily snapping Twitter photos just after dawn. A short time later, they were spotted in the exclusive 24th floor Executive Lounge picking gingerly at delicate scrambled eggs using fountain pens as chop sticks. Also seen in the lounge was Sarj Minhas, elegantly attired in midnight black.
Meanwhile, just outside the ballroom, Susan Wirth sat at the Pentooling table sifting for spare part treasures whilst unknown volunteers readied the Ink Testing Station. Within the confines of the ballroom proper, various and sundry vendors displayed their wares for early-bird wheeling and dealing.
By mid-afternoon, an unshaven and ruggedly handsome Brian Gray was greeting friends and speaking geek. Dan Symonds of Franklin-Christoph was hinting that new items would be unveiled on Friday. Edelberg representative, Samuel Naldi, used Italian charm to explain Swiss pens to a captive audience.
Friday promises the arrival of Brian and Lisa Anderson, Greg Minuskin, Michael Sull, and countless others. Stay tuned to Fountain Pen Geeks for all the latest news, information and gossip via FPGeeks.com, Twitter, and Facebook.
