So, there you have it! ^^
That’s all there is to it!

      Merci beaucoup!

Definitely could confuse a few vampires with its colour. Until it dries with the gold sheen, of course. Love this ink: I use it my Platinum Music Nib pen and it’s just gorgeous. And even in the Monteverde Artista Crystal Medium nib pen, I could see some gold. And now I want to get the biggest pilot parallel and use it in that. Dreamy sigh…

Also, blood is not the same colour wet as it is dry. Who knows what’s really in this ink?

Thank you for filling your different pens with the same inks. A bit of clean up job afterwards but most appreciated for the demo of all the different inks.

How about reviewing an Iron Gall ink?

    • Stephen Brown

I own Montblanc Midnight Blue, which is an iron-gall ink. Would be a good candidate anyway. So if it doesn’t make it to the next instalment, I’ll try to include it shortly thereafter!

The gold sheen is very strange. It gives this ink a unique aspect to it that I have never seen before.

  • Breck

I don’t recall ever seeing anyone with such a decidedly rightward slant to their handwriting. It is more pronounced now than it used to be because, I suppose, you can now use both hands instead of one hand having to hold the camera? Very slanted!

Thanks for the review, Stephen! I would have expected the ink to be a darker shade of red, simply based on the writing on the box! I think I would buy this to use on Christmas cards but it might be a bit too bright for everyday use (for the kind of pens I use). Thanks also for mentioning the sheen qualities of this ink—I would have missed that had you not mentioned it!

Now wait just one red-hot minute–somehow missed this till now, I was looking for holiday inks. And nobody commented on that fantastic incredible BOOK? One of the most amazing books ever. I don’t think I realized Dr. Seba was Dutch, though, interesting. And since this chameleon-style ink seems to change color sometimes, depending on nib, paper, & whether I remembered to shake the bottle….. this book suits it quite nicely, in fact! Merci Buttercups!
