It says “This video is private” and won’t let me watch… :(

    • eriquito

Sorry about that. All fixed now =)

        YAY

I know JUST what you mean. Vert Réséda is the ink I was talking about during the last podcast; Itt’s not a bad ink, but it’s a very typical, chemical shade of green. Mouthwashy is just the term :-) .

Stephen, what is the fine nib pen you use to write the first line, and it flexes a bit??

    • Stephen Brown

That would be the regular Noodler’s piston-filler flex pen. Not the Ahab, not the Konrad, just the regular, smaller flex pen. It’s a pretty nice pen, with decent flex – and it costs $14, so it’s not a bad deal :-) .

That’s an interesting green: I’ve ordered a sample to try at home and to compare with Sailor Epinard.

Instead of a loupe Stephen, try a magnifying glass. Your camera should like the larger glass aperture or should I say field?

    • Stephen Brown

Good idea! Will try this next time!

    Sauvage means wild, not savage…

So Wild Ivy, not Poison Ivy….

      Well done Andre!

Hi Stephen, this is one of my favorite colors also. It gives a very good shading with my pelikan pens. In medium and fine it shades very nice.

Wow, the beauty of this ink seems to show best in either flexed or a broad nib.

Now that I have obtained a sample of this ink from a generous friend (;-) I am able to see what it looks like from my pen on my paper. Color computer monitors are wonderful, esp. when calibrated, but are only a rough approximation. I had perceived L.S. as being darker than it is for me. But that said, if I had broader nibs it would begin to look as dark as it does here. Still this lighter aspect of this ink is enchanting. It may be that mid-range green I have been looking for; enough so that I may actually buy a bottle of it when my sample runs out. There is this indefinable “something” about J. Herbin’s inks that I resonate with very much.
