Specializing in handmade limited edition books, the hand bookbinder and maker of fine correspondence papers Thornwillow Press – just like Montblanc – celebrates artistic mastery, design and attention to detail, maintaining the importance of the written word in a more and more digitally operating world.

The creation of uniquely manufactured writing paper combines both companies’ concentration on preserving the fervor and passion for the written word. In an exceptional approach of artisanship and thoughtful creations, each heavy weight card has hand-stained and colored edges. Each envelope, furthermore, has a matching, hand-tipped tissue lining that harmonizes with Montblanc’s exciting palette of ink colors. The envelopes have a long, deep, pointed flap and the luxurious vellum paper structure is ideally formulated to support Montblanc inks without feathering or bleeding. Moreover, the colorful fine paper collection harmonizes with Montblanc’s existing palette of inks, being a perfect addition to aficionados of writing accessories.
In reference to Montblanc’s symbol of excellence and high quality, each card and envelope are decorated with a subtle, blind embossed Montblanc star. With meticulous proficiency and loving attention to detail, the crafting and finishing of the paper collection is done at Thornwillow’s workshops in the historic Hudson Valley, North of Manhattan. The exquisite paper itself is made in New York from the finest acid-free and archival pulp using wind-generated energy.
