From Hiroshima’s Miyajima Torii, to Hirojima Toyo Carp (baseball team) and the red foliage of the land, Hiroshima’s citizens have a particular fondness for red. This time, to commemorate Tayama stationery’s 115th founding anniversary Sailor has produced this vermillion fountain pen. This pen features multiple laminated layers of materials (the wood veneer is impregnated with synthetic resins and then heated). To accomplish its distinctive “moist and soft” texture, Sailor began by layering with the wood base and layering to accomplish the integration of resin and wood.
