The Wahl-Eversharp company has recently released the Skyline Tribute collection for order. The tribute collection pays homage to and celebrates the dedication and bravery of these first responders – firefighters. The collection is the Skyline Tribute Fire Fighters collection.

Not surprisingly, the pen is a very awesome fire engine red! The cap is palladium plated, with the Fire and Rescue logo engraved on it. The end is black. The clip and trim are gold plated. The coolest (or hottest) part is the semi-flex gold plated stainless steel nib, that also has a special ceramic coating. The fountain pens come with a converter, or take standard long/Waterman-style cartridges.

Each pen comes with a special fire box with a die cast scale model hook and ladder fire truck included. Pens are sealed in protective crystal sleeve. The price of the Skyline Tribute to Firefighters fountain pen is $265USD. The roller ball is $235USD. For more information and to order your own, visit Wahl-Eversharp.

Would have liked to see a writing sample. Very curious about this nib.

If we get one in for review we’ll be sure to include a writing sample.

Here is one review of the Ceramic Coated Gold Plated Semi-Flex stainless
steel nib that comes in the Firefighter pen albeit a review of the same
nib system in another pen. Apart from the exterior package everything
else on the business end of the pens is the same. Maybe this will be of
some help until the full Firefighter review takes place.

I’ve met many a fire-fighter over the years, and never yet one who uses a fountain pen, oddly. Maybe a squirt of inky nibbage pales in comparison to a high-pressure jet nozzle… Still, this is a good-looking retro colour scheme, isn’t it?
