Pilot Vanishing Point White Carbonesque fountain pen
The Pilot Vanishing Point is one our favorite and most recommended fountain pens, regardless of price range. It scored a whopping 8.3 in our Awesome Review and comes in an almost ridiculous number of colors. A new one this year, that’s not a special edition, is White Carbonesque.

The Carbonesque finish gives the pen a carbon-fiber like appearance and adds some character to what would otherwise be a dull monotone finish. To be honest, I’ve never actually thought about a White Carbonesque finish, but now that I’ve seen it, I really like it.

Unfortunately, it will not be available in the US. Pilot USA’s official response to my inquiry was:

Pilot USA will not be bringing in this design of the Vanishing Point.

Bummer, right? Of course, there’s always engeika.com. We’ll let you know when it becomes available.

That is a nice looking pen.

Eeeeeek! A white VP that I don’t already have?!? Must rectify that asap :)

Looks like vanilla ice cream. Yummy pen. I do wish Pilot would stop doing that, though – keeping finishes seemingly at random, like only importing limited quantities of Smoke and Clear Custom 823s… it isn’t like black isn’t popular. You’ll bring 2 $640 raden pens to the U.S. but not this pen? :

White is one if the natural colours you’d imagine Pilot will launch. Especially since black and blue carbonesque look so nice!
