twsbi diamond 580 fountain pen black and rose gold testing
TWSBI has been experimenting with rose gold plating on their Diamond 580 fountain pen for a while now and it looks like we’re going to be able to buy them here shortly.

From speaking with TWSBI we know that it will be a limited production pen and priced somewhere around the Vac700 due to the increased costs of the gold plating. The release date will probably be around early November, but that’s not set in stone.

As soon as they’re available, we’ll let you know.

I must admit these are purrrrdy! I just got a new 580, too. Oh well, nothing wrong with two if one’s a different color ;)

Oh goodness, that looks absolutely beautiful.

oh, and what about white pens with rose gold details? it is nice but not as much as the white one :)

I love TWSBI pens, & I own several. TWSBI’s customer service is second to none. That said, I can’t see the wisdom in paying a premium for gold plating the trim on an entry-intermediate range pen. I suppose people must want it, though, or Speedy probably wouldn’t produce it.

Hope they’re still making them in white. Not really interested in another black and gold pen, myself…

The rose gold nib — me likey!
(I wonder if they will come in every nib grade…)

I like the color a lot. Rose gold is just a bit different.

I’m hoping the other issues are solved!
