Hi guys

Anyone know where in the UK I can buy a copy of the book Pen Repair, Second Edition, By Marshall and Oldfield.

I can order it from America but the postage costs make it a bit on the expensive side this side of the pond.

Thanks

Paul

Excellent many thanks, that's a much better price as well, it was £42 plus £15 postage from America.

Hi all

It turned out Peter Twydle does not have any stock of this book, anyone know of anyone else in the UK selling it.

Thanks

Paul

Sorry about that; I notice Pendragons have now sold out as well. According to the Pen Practice website (http://www.penpractice.com/), the "only copies remaining are with Fivestarpens in the USA". However, The Writing Desk (http://thewritingdesk.co.uk/showproduct.php?id=10501) the third edition is due later this year, so maybe worth waiting a while.

Thanks for the reply Zippy, Can you post a link to the book as I cannot find it anywhere or any other books on that site.

Mind you them saying they have stock means very little, they also say they have Paker Vacumatic Jewels in stock and they don't.

Paul.

I never got a reply from Ian about the book, that,s strike two, after taking my money for something he couldn't supply and then not even bothering to reply to my request regarding the book.

I ended up buying the book from one of the American suppliers in the end. Its an excellent book so more than pleased I got it.

Now you watch any day now edition three will be freely available, that always happens when I buy anything, within days the new version comes out and the one I just bought for full price drops 50%.

The clock is now ticking.

I know exactly how you feel...

I got the second edition for Christmas last year, and I thought it was great but sorta lacking.

Wife is going to go crazy if I ask her for the 'third edition' this year.

During the London pen show I asked about the availability of this book and I was informed it was sold out in UK but the new edition (3rd) will be coming out in December.

Thanks for the update, lets hope its a significant update to justify buying it in addition to the second edition one I have now obtained
