I was given a 1907 Onoto, The Pen recently. These are very cleverly designed and engineered vacuum filler pens with cork seals. It has a built in shut off valve to stop ink flow when it is not in use. The papers that come with these opens says to keep it full of ink all the time, else the cork will dry out. Restoring these pens to functionality is specialized, and requires specialized tools. My example has a "signature stub" nib. After dipping it and writing, I like the size, balance and nib behaviour. So I am trying to find a person who has successfully restored one of these.

Eric Wilson (http://http://eckiethump.webs.com/) has restored many, several of them for me. He does a great job.

Thanks, but I don't think it is a going proposition for me to sent items to the UK right now because Sterling is so strong, and the Canadian dollar so weak in relation.
