You know, this really is a pen to see in the flesh, it looks much more balanced than when shown in pictures and I never tire of looking at the castings through a loupe and reveling in the details and...
Ooo, Excellent, I know nothing about these pens so your review is going to be something very much to look forward to!
Peter, yes, I am careful with the nib, though in truth it requires little pressure, certainly no more than normal writing to get that variation where as the Ti needs a great deal more!
The ASA is...
Hi Peter.
I have just taken so quick photo's to compare. The size is identical but the metal work is completely different in colour, hopefully these quick shots will convey that, the difference is...
It looks great. I have a Hero 330 and it writes wonderfully. I still keep toying with the idea of one of the Hero 1000's but each time I go to press the buy it now button there has been a 51 pop up...
Hey Maja, yep! It is here! This one in perfect order but you can tell these are not mass made as the metal work is a much more copper colour than the pistons.
The nib is lovely to write with and...
Thanks so much for your kind words Maja,I think we are very luck in the VPC to have so many really lovely members, I will bring the box along next week by the way! Oh yes, Ti is within an hour away...
Ah ha! My Ti should be here within the hour! Fingers crossed this one is fine!
Yeah, it has taken a long while to get to where I am with it. I wanted as full a sized sound as I can get but portable as i like to keep things simple. I run the Audeze's balanced and they other two...
KI, that was the point I was trying to get across over on the headphone forum. I much prefer higher bit rates. In fact I listen to AIFF ( my system is portable and consists of iPod classic, cypher...
Is that I have yet to experience ego's at play!
I belong to a few other forums but hardly ever visit them anymore due to so many ego's needing approval or to be right. I just dipped my toes back...
Ah, found it! It was in fact a sterling silver cap with gold trim, the 88-803 here is a link to it on penasias site, now that is a pen!
...
I am going to have to look at the other two you mention as I have not seen the custom barrels or heard of the veruna!
I must admit the more I read about the history of Aurora the more I feel it is...
Trouble us, trouble us, remember, we have all gone past the dark side so more the merrier :bounce:
That's it Peter, spot on. The only wooden pens that have ever appealed to me are the GVFC's! Yours look wonderful!
That is a touch choice. I don't own any of those brands and each one appeals for different reasons. I think having seen Brian's latest creation on the main site I would plump for that one.. In the...
i am sure I have something that will make do Peter :pound:
Excellent KI, I really love the line variation you have created by stubbing the nib, i am not sure you have lots to learn though as looking at the writing sample it looks remarkably like my vintage...
I'm not a collector so the boxes ( with a Couple of exceptions) are just there to transport the pen so get thrown away. The only two I have kept are the Limited edition Montegrappa and the Hitchcock....
Ya know, I have no idea :noidea:
Just an update. Just got of the phone with Farhneys, they are just waiting for some new stock to come in and they will then mail out the replacement! So, the wait continues!
Stef.
I don't know who told you that. I have watched all your videos now and I would say the ones that do not deal with restoration are reviews. You cover all the points of the pen, some history...
OOO. Very much looking forward to this!
Today has been so far the 51 Vac and the Hitchcock, I am writing a birthday card later so will use the Stipula for that to give my writing a bit of an arty feel!
