    A scale is good to have. I don't use mine much though. I really like having a grinder with a timer on it, it makes brewing so easy.

    When I'm doing coffee instruction I always use a scale though.

    I quite like the cane paper from staples. super smooth, no feathering. it is very thin, you'll want a lighter colored ink if you intend to write on both sides of the paper.

    Those Zeiss lenses are really nice. I took a lot of beautiful photos with my Sony until it was burgled.

    How does that Leitz do with (ahem) closeups of (cough) Sheaffers and (dry heave)...

    I love the idea of the valve on a pourover brewer. on the other hand I like the challenge of dialing in brew time by adjusting the grind of the coffee.
