This color is my favorite of Pharmacist's amazing inks. In a Lamy Safari with a 1.5 nib, the shading is awesome, and it truly has the appearance of some old medieval manuscript. Just amazing. Shading...
Now that's a mixture I absolutely will try! Thanks for the idea!
I agree, too! After stumbling upon a mention of the Lamy 27 in your blog post about the Lamy 2000, I followed the trail to Karl Brandt's sale of vintage Lamys and came away with 2 magnificent pens -...
I got a used Generation with Fine nib just this week at a great price. It's a remarkably smooth writer, soft nib, and easy to hold despite the narrow barrel. My first Montblanc, & I love it.
Mine shipped today, a medium & an Extra Fine. Hmm, I like the idea of a stub for that medium!
Just wanted to add my praises to these fantastic cabinets. Following Julie's review, I got a 5 drawer and a 2 drawer version. The quality is fantastic and the price was unbelievable. Geoff does great...
Welcome, neighbor!
Sounds like you just might need a pen with a Music Nib! Welcome aboard.
Welcome! I'd tell you go hide your credit card quick, but that'd spoil all the lovely fun you'll have with pens & ink!
Welcome to the forum!
Welcome aboard! I think the M215 filled with Violette Pensee is a great combo:)
Welcome! Glad you stopped by!
I'd been wanting to experiment with Circa notebooks for a while, so Okami's review just added fuel to the fire. I ordered both a letter & junior size starter kit & punch, & filled them with 1/2...
I love them! I think my favorite is the copper colored J, but I like the grey & blue a whole lot, too. It's so nice to be able to switch out nibs whenever the mood strikes. I like so many of the...
I never gave much thought to trying Kon-peki, thinking, "Oh, it's just another blue, & I've got plenty of those!" I've changed my mind now. Looks like a cool ink for summer. Of course, your...
Right now I prefer piston & converter models, but I've been enjoying my first eyedropper, a little clear Stipula Passaporto, too.
Oooo, I bet that's pretty. I didn't know they came in smoke! I just recently discovered I like demos and large ink windows so I can see the ink sloshing around.
I have 4 1/2:
M805 Black & Silver
M400 Tortoise
M215 Lozenge
M205 Clear (due to arrive soon)
M205 Blue demo (or what's left after the puppies ate most of it!)
I've been a bit disappointed...
I tend to prefer Fine or Extra Fine nibs for notetaking, margin notes, making lists and such. I prefer wider nibs, stubs or italics, for journaling, planning, & letter writing. I like steel and...
One of my favorites for grading papers!
Your reviews are always such fun to look at.
I use fountain pens for everything these days. Notes, grocery lists, margin notes while reading, grading papers, hall passes, attendance reports, journaling, doodling, letters, cards, everything!
It makes everything done with a pen more fun, and certainly adds pleasure to the task of grading papers!
I have about 51 nice fountain pens that I use myself, plus two nice Pelikanos (courtesy of the wonderful Pear Tree Pens) and 10 Parker Vectors that I loan out to my students in Senior English. As...
Ku-Jaku is one of my favorite inks -- great shading, and like a peacock, it seems to show different colors, from turquoise almost to a hint of brown. Kinda like getting two inks in one!
