Sure, but even in a physical forum, the infrastructure costs are paid by the participants. Perhaps the costs are paid in a less transparent way, through things like land taxes, but they are still...

Re: What is up with FPN?

These things are supposed to be FORUMS...why would one pay to discuss something with others? Implementing a fee would further discourage people from the hobby.
  4. Re: What do you collect that no one else collects?

I collect only the slender version of the 1st gen vacumatic. I bet others do as well, but probably along with other versions or sizes as well.

    Re: Scratchy Parola

Yes, I've heard some other members complain about them as well. If you live in the U.S, a nibmeister like Mike Masuyama, Ron Zorn, etc...etc. might be able to help. I'm assuming you've tried...
  7. Re: Preparing pens for storage/display

Send an email to David Nimishura...he sells them, and would be able to help you out with sizing.

Maybe. BTW I am not bidding on it. :(
  12. Re: Preparing pens for storage/display

If possible, get a silicone sac installed. Silicone sacs will not discolor the celluloid, will last longer, and the sacks will be much less fussy is storage. Just give the pen a full flushing and...

    Re: Pleasure or precision?

Just get a pen that you like and have the nib tuned. Pelikan fines are pretty good out of the box, at least for an m400 model.
For me the question in visual pleasure versus sensory pleasure.

Re: WHICH 400 tortoise is this?

I'm pretty sure the early 400s had that "m101 reissue" nib standard...back when the 100n was still in production.
