    Re: Scams and Fountain Pens

Re: How Many Pens Do You Have Inked?

Same here. Though nothing as interesting: emptied a blue Safari of Lamy Blue while taking notes, had new samples of Noodler's El Lawrence and Burma Road Brown. After much deliberation and reading a...
  8. Re: Old-style MB ink bottles, rounded end?

Thanks for the info. I did not realize the ink had an 'expiration' date!

Anyone got an old empty to get rid of, lol?
  9. Re: Why are there no modern wet noodles?

I have no doubt that it's possible to make one that's better for cheaper: Materials engineering, manufacturing consistency in volume and QC control are all much better and more precise than they used...
  10. Re: Pilot Metropolitan- Who's using one?

I'm beginning to wonder if this isn't just a 78G with sheet metal.

    Re: Prejudice Against Noodler's Ink

For BSB I use a Pelikano Jr. with the blue barrel...almost an exact match! Other people claim success with the Guanleming Demonstrator 2001. Of course, these are inexpensive pens. You may be...
  12. Re: Going back to college, need budget & FP friendly notebooks

Also, those made in India. The surface of the paper is a little softer, true, but it does take ink surprisingly well. You can find them in dollar-type stores.

    Good luck!
  13. Old-style MB ink bottles, rounded end?

Is there any reliable dealer (other than bidding on a product from fleabay) who still carries the older MB ink bottles with the rounded end?

I'm asking because I saw sample writing here with MB...

    2. Started in again on a pair of socks I had begun...last year. -_-

    3. I went a little nuts and sewed a pillowcase out of cheap...
  16. Re: Pilot Metropolitan- Who's using one?

unless my memory is manufacturing it, somebody somewhere said the entire 78G section can be installed (ie screwed into) in the metro body.[/QUOTE]

That may have been me. I have both and I compared...

    Re: Hero Bent-nib Calligraphy Pens

One other thing to be aware of with the squeezy filler: it's easy to fill, but if it's overfilled, ink will spew back into the cap and make it look like the pen sprung a leak. Do as you do with...
