    Post Budha A6 E&R Notebook

Mrs Bogon came back from a visit to the local Op shop a week ago with a $2 present: an A6 Budha notebook by Elephant & Rickshaw. 60 pages with 7mm lines.

It has a thickish heavy cardboard cover upon which the budha appears to be hand painted and drawn. The budha does look a bit cross-eyed and there are some vertical line with script across the cover. There is a fabric border which is stitched. The pages are also stiched with a multicoloured thread not stapled. There also an elastic to keep the pad closed.

The paper is a very faint cream and feels smooth and medium thick. It seems to take ink quite well with a slight feathering noticable with 1.1 italic nib using Noodlers Squeteague. No showthrough.

Overall it is a higher quality than the first impression indicated with good paper and a cover which looks to be able to take a bit of wear and provide a firm backing for writing.

How did I miss this? Wow, very nice performance for a $2 find. Interesting cover too.
