    I lost a solid brass Hinderer pen at church and it really bugged me. Unfortunately, there is no lost and found at church. I did replace that pen.

    I've only lost one pen, a Parker 45, at work. Didn't replace it. Have never had a pen stolen, but I don't bring good pens to work, and I pathologically watch my pen case when I do bring pens out in public. My pens lead sheltered lives.

    Do make sure you report the fact the pens have gone missing. May not (almost certainly won't) get your pens back, but if some malefactor is going round pinching things, you may not be the only one to be targeted. I very much doubt that there's a mad fountain pen collector on the loose - more likely to be someone nicking stuff in general.
