    Default Pelikan Edelstein Topaz

I've been using this ink for a couple of days now, and it's quickly become one of my top 5 blues:-

    • A very nice mid blue colour

    • It is a very good shader

    • Nicely lubricated

    • Very good flow

    • No hard starts

    • 10 second dry time on Rhodia

I have quickly become very fond of this ink, its a good colour, and a very well performing ink. I have used this in both work and personal environments and it is suited to both. This is my first Edelstein ink, but it won't be my last. It is also very eazy to clean.

    Cheers,

    Bud.

If you like Topaz, you might also like J. Herbin's Bleu Pervenche. It has a bit more of the lighter blue tones than Topaz and as nice of a shader.

Very nice review. It's good to see a Blackbird being used to show off an ink. I agree about it going well in a flexy nib, to show off the shading.
I like Edelstein inks a lot but the 2014 Garnet was a huge disappointment.

Yeah, It's my first vintage pen with a bit of flex, but, sad to say, I'm no flex writer, it's a lovely little pen though, and very nice blue marble. I wish I could write better though. It gives me something to work on.

I like your lettering. I like writing that has its own style. So much writing lacks distinctiveness (is there such a word?!). It's good to improve though. Most of us need to lol.

I've just put this into my M420 with an EF nib and it's a beauty!

It is very nice, I've also got Adventurine and Amethyst and almost don't want to try them in cast I'm disappointed, but I will.

I love Topaz, it's pretty much my favourite ink. Interesting and suitable for everyday writing as well.

This is the only Pelikan Ink I like. One thing to note is that it also has excellent water resistance.

Yeah you are right, looking back on the review sheet, the water test does retain the line detail, the only difference is the green in the ink washes away leaving a more deep blue line.

This ink was selling for a very cheap price the last time I looked on Amazon.de

I bought this ink during the Pelikan Hub. This is the shade of blue I like the best. I was happy to get a bottle of Waterman South Sea Blue (Inspired Blue) just after the name changes were appearing. That’s one of my favorites in this shade of blue.

    Love the artwork @Pterodactylus
