    Hard to know what to compliment first. The pen, the case, the writing, the composition of the scene. It's all divine. You are a very fortunate person.

    Thank you Cryptos. This is my nicest pen, by far and a joy to write with. It took me a long time to get but well worth the wait. The beautiful case is the work of MY63 who is well known on this forum. The ink is Rouge Hematite.

    @Laura N: the ink is J. Herbin Rouge Hematite. I don't normally use red ink but bought a bottle of Rouge Hematitie just to try with this pen. The ink is a good match for the Aka Tamenuri finish of the pen and just looks right flowing out of this pen. I'll probably switch to black ink when I use the pen at work.

    Thank you notsim. It does look nice after it has dried. I wasn't so sure about the gold sheen at first, but it has grown on me :-)

    the red seems to have less feathering for me than the other variants in this lineup of inks

    Yes, the notebook is an Oxford "Black n' Red;" the paper is 90gms.
