Default DELTA Gallery Tech & Web - Fusion

I had been drooling over this pen on ebay for awhile. I've never had a Delta and had always thought about buying one of the orange and black Dolcevita's but then I saw this one.

The seller (martemodena) had only a fine and extra fine listed but he told me that it wasn't a problem for him to switch out the nib to a medium. I bought on September 1 and it arrived (on Labor Day no less) today!. Super fast shipping from Italy to Tulsa, Oklahoma!

Here are some pics of the biggest fountain pen box I've ever seen and the pen. I'll post some writing samples later this week.

    (Bad picture - sorry)

It has two screws that release the plexiglass top

Next to a Visconti Rembrandt, Parker Sonnet, and a Pelkan M600 - It's a pretty chunky pen!

So far writes excellent and looks to be a great pen for writing a short period of time - too chunky for me to write with it a long time.

That's an attractive pen. I, too, admire the Delta Dolcevita, but it would be tough to make a choice between it and the one you bought. (I like to go for the uncommon choice.)

I've only once tried the fusion nib, and it was a nail. How about yours?

So far so good. Ran some dish soap/water solution through it first and it's been writing great

Very nice! I have the fusion nib on the Oro and, while it writes smoothly, it makes a little creaking noise as it goes.

Congratulations. Great choice - I've one from martemodena too but with a B nib (great writer). The gunmetal hardware really compliments the pen, particularly the clip & roller design.

However I still think it looks like Yellow, Orange & Black Lamy Safaris were melted together to make it.

Have to admit that I do find that groovy packaging very appealing. The pen looks a bit to thick to be comfortable writing with for mid-to-long periods, but it is cool-looking!

You need to skip past the marketing talk about changing the viscosity of the ink. Once you're there, the nib is great. Indeed sort of flex like concrete and also be careful not to try too hard, I have heard that the goldstrip can even come of. For the rest, this pen made it into in the top segment of my GOAT pens straight out of the box, overtaking a few other Delta's on the way.

The gold strip and the term, Fusion, are a gimmick. It's not really fused, it's glued. It's an attractive pen and there is nothing wrong with the nib. It just serves no purpose
