The thin ivory or cream might be Tomoe River paper. When I was a kid, there was a tinted onionskin stationery line called Eaton's Crystal Sheers that I was in love with. Sometimes, tracing paper works well with fountain pens; sometimes not. Good luck!
My other pen is a Montblanc.

And my other blog is a tumblr!

And my latest ebook, for spooky wintery reading:

If you've never tried Tomoe River I can post you a couple of sheets. There's the occasional group buy direct from them in Japan as it's pretty expensive here. Almost £19 for 100 sheets from some places whereas I got it for £8 (if I remember correctly).

    Wow £8!!!
On Cultpens it's £32.75 for a4 100 sheet pad think that's far to much for that amount of paper
No I've never tried Tomoe River and £8 is about right really
Thank you so much only if you dont mind ? do you remember where you got it from?
I read that it's the same paper they use for catalogues and magazines as it's light weight and doesn't tear easily

I tell a lie, it was £9.75 per 100 sheets and they are loose not the pad.

It was Marie who set it up over at FPN (she posted here as well)

I bought 3 packs and you can also buy journals, though no one has made it easy to do in the UK yet.

Check out the Hobonichi journals though it's out of stock until they get the 2017 version

Also Paper Cuts but you'll have to email them and I don't know if they're shipping

Anyway, pm me your address and I'll send a couple of sheets this week.

The stuff called "onionskin paper" in North America was used for making true carbon copies, where carbon paper(s) was placed over the onionskin paper(s) under the top sheet of regular typing paper, and that sandwich of papers was rolled into the typewriter's platten. Photocopiers made carbon copies, carbon paper and onionskin paper obsolete.

    Fred

P.S. I just picked up a sheaf of onionskin from jbb's Etsy store.
