Default Schmidt easyFLOW 9000 (Parker Ball point compatible refill)

I ended up with some Parker ball point pens that I didn't have any refills for.
Did the usual interweb research for a few minutes and noticed somewhat of a trend in that the easyFLOW 9000 seemed to consistently get favorable comments.
Found what seemed like a great deal for six of them for $7 shipped on Amazon and they arrived this past weekend.

    The refills:

I popped one into a Parker Classic and another one into a Parker Flighter Jotter from the 90's and tried them out for a bit.

    Mini-review conclusion:
REALLY like them. One of the downsides that I've felt with BP pens is that the refills feels a bit dry and scritchy and, well, a bit boring to actually write with - but these Schmidt ones made these Parker BP pens feel as if I was writing with a roller ball pen! Super smooth and the ink flowed beautifully.

Not sure what kind of magic Schmidt worked into these pens but for seven bucks for six of them I'll be back for more.

Thanks for the information. I just ordered the six-pack for my Monteverde ball point pen.

Happy to hear. They are the only ball point refills I use now

I rather Fisher Pressurized refills but these are a close second

Mystified that anyone likes those Fisher refills. They write like 1960s ball points. They are faint, dull & require more force. Okay you can write upside down but I personally don't have a big call for that.

The Schmidt are, well easy & make a dark line. The ball occasionally gets a little gummed up but that is the trade off of the near gell performance.

Different strokes I guess. Other than Pilot ball pens the Schmidt is the best I have found. They also come stock as OEM in a lot of pens. Here in Korea the fancier Monami pens have them in there. I wish they fit in the Caran d'ache 849.

How do they compare to Parker QuinkFlow refills? Are they in fact the same (I guess Parker may not admit it if Schmidt were their OEM manufacturer)?

I have purchased a pack of blue and of black, and have one of each in pens now. I like them pretty well, especially for the price. It is a much nicer looking line than a traditional "ballpoint". Thanks for the review/recommendation.

FWIW, As long as I'm giving up the ability to write on certain things like a credit card signing strip, I think I like the full on Gel refills (such as the Parker Gel refills in this same form factor) better.
