I like the format of the Levenger Book Review forms, but the paper is terrible with most of the pens I like to use (fountain pens, rollerballs, gel pens). So I went looking for alternatives and found YellowPaperHouse on Etsy.

The store offers a number of different sizes of notebooks, including TN and Passport. I decided to risk $8.00 plus shipping to try the book review/reading journal insert. Here's a link to it:

It comes in a number of colors, but I ordered white. So far, it has worked well with my fountain pens and inks. I have tried a Kaweco with cartridge (summer purple), my Dark Lilac Lamy with Dark Lilac ink, my Sailor Procolor with Standardgraph Bilberry/Blueberry ink, and a Regal pen with turquoise ink, and I have had no bleed through.

I would recommend it for those looking for a similar product. I will try to load pictures later tonight, but the lighting in the house is not very good.

I totally love the idea of a preprinted "book report" format! But...educate me, do these require a cover of some sort?

I use them as inserts in a Midori Traveler's Notebook (Regular sized), but the covers on them are pretty sturdy if you don't want to use them as an insert.

By the way, all, I have tried similar notebooks from other Etsy stores (I can share tthe names of those with you if you are interested), even some boasting "premium" paper, but they all had terrible feathering with fountain pens. This is best one I've found.

I keep thinking of making my own template to make my own inserts on HP 28 lb paper (or higher), but lazy creature that I am, I keep hoping that Ray Blake will get to it before I do. I did ask him, and he said he's considering it. I have my fingers crossed.

Ideally, someone will make them with Tomoe River paper or even Midori light paper, but I'm sure it would make them outrageously expensive.

Let me know what you think of it, writingrav. I'm going to ask her if she will custom make one that does not have the quotations box, as I seldom use that feature.
