Guitars.......acoustic, bass, electric, acoustic bass......etc. Stuff with strings on it.....

Strings and Nibs are an excellent combination!

I've managed to reduce my guitar collection down to the point where it hardly counts as a collection, but the temptation to add to it never goes away. I finally acquired a 12-string acoustic guitar last year. I'm still looking for the right acoustic bass.

Books. Nearly anything with ladybugs or monkeys, and many things with cats, squirrels, or snails. Small souvenirs of cities we visit, also including a particular magnet style (slightly 3D views of the city/particular monument of importance, with the city name, and styled as though it were on a "scroll" of some sort, or those in a similar style minus the rolled edges when not available). Notebooks. Until more recently, any colorful fun pens, though fountain pens have made that a bit pointless so no more, but still other artsy supply things, markers, colored pencils, etc. Stamps (the kind you ink, not the kind on letters ). Cookbooks & recipes. Uhhh there's probably other things I'm not thinking of. >.>

Well, I have a problem with stationery. I buy lots! This month, I have bought 2 Flow Book for Paper Lovers (someone here introduced me to it) - full of papers, some I can use for InCoWriMo... I seem to accumulate stickers, writing paper, washi/deco tapes, wax seals - the coins, latest acquisition was custom made by Manuscript of the Ironbridge. I am awaiting a couple of wax orders (different colours), instead of ordering sparkletastic enchanted onions (or its cousins) I was going to order before Christmas.

I love watches so I am always looking for vintage watches. Recently I traded some vacumatics for a nice beautiful vintage omega watch.

Stationery and books have been my crazyness, since I was a child.

I gather some watches, now and then.

I collect books, the books collect dust.

Maybe accumulate is a better word.
Q: What's the difference between a pen forum and a pipe smokers' forum?

A: On a pipe forum it wouldn't take 45 replies before somebody said "dust."

So besides dust, pipes. Somebody on the pipe forum I frequent said his pipes could more accurately be called an accumulation rather than a collection, and that's true of all my "collections" as well, probably. Anyway, I probably have around 40 gathered over my 45+ years as a pipe smoker, most of them attractive and good smokers, but none of them high end.

Books, of course, far too many, especially poetry, languages, books on writing, music scores, some religion and philosophy, a little (library) cataloging reference and history, lately a few books on birds and birding. Oh, and supernatural and horror literature, including a lot of Lovecraft.

I have several Zippo lighters, only one of which I bought; a few manual typewriters; a few watches and pocketknives; several skull replicas of various types; again, nothing expensive or highly collectible.

And some of my kids' artwork. Being the dad of artists is pretty cool, really.

I have a good number of LPs. Memes are fun to collect too. I have a rather bloated folder of them on my phone.

I enjoy looking around for biological oddities, such as these lovely lichens!

Fruticose Lichen, complete with reproductive apothecia:

Fruticose and foliose, nice yellow apothecia:

    Good haul:

Not mine, but here's an interesting collection of metal complexes synthesized by undergrads for an upper level lab, wonderful colors 😊 mine is in there somewhere. Dates back to the early 90s I think. Generations of chem majors are documented in there!

Here's a 'collection' of my unsold pottery from back in October
