Default Your Favorite Vintage Pens, and Why - include photos

    WahlRTw o ribbonneedles n pens8 09 23.14.jpg

Hopefully I've attached the photo correctly : )
To enjoy a wide variety of vintage, I settled upon the idea of ringtops pens. My hand is small so they are comfortable for me.
Of course, they don't hold a lot of ink. But, the opportunity to enjoy many examples of vintage nibs was the inspiration. This has been the fascination, from stiff as a nail Parker Pastel, to the wonderful semi-, and full flexes, of Wahl, Waterman, Sheaffer, Morrison, Eclipse, and more, the little ringtops have been great fun to collect.

Also the variety of materials, from chased hard rubber, warm celluloid, silver overlay, and gold filled...
What are your favorite Vintage pens, and what about them fascinates you?

wow that's a wet writer! or are you using a very fluid ink? (wondering if the writing in the line just above was the same pen?)

The ones above are Waterman 52 1/2V's with a 0552 1/2 V at the right side. The BCHR has a broad stub too.

This is the other extreme of tytoalba's ring top. An Eclipse Silver Filigree.

But the pen I keep going back to came in a few months ago...

"What are moon-letters?" asked the hobbit full of excitement. He loved maps, as I have told you before; and he also loved runes and letters, and cunning handwriting, though when he wrote himself it was a bit thin and spidery.

Every place I have read says that it is new packaging/labeling only. The ink is the same.

Here is another sample but please excuse my flex writing, I am still learning:

Ivan in my dreams I would be able to write as you do... just imagine how wonderful once you are familiar with the pen!
It's always exciting to see a good pen in the hands of someone who will do it justice.
It's always good to see a great vintage pen back in use!
