    Default Mystery Ink #13

Yup, we're going to do this.

Laura N orchestrated twelve of these last year, and I think we all had fun with them. I have a bottle of ink at home which I don't expect I'll ever use up. The color just doesn't do it for me, but it might for others, so I will share it. I don't see any reviews of this ink on this forum, so I'm thinking this might be new for just about anyone and everyone. Perhaps it's a good ink for MI13. People associate thirteen with Friday the 13th and "freaky" things. I think it's pretty freaky to think there might be an ink out there that is neither new nor old yet hasn't been posted here or in the ink review forum. Well, that or my search skills are terrible...

I believe Laura sent out 6-8 samples and international volunteers were accepted. I'll carry on the same. Post below if you'd like to volunteer to receive a sample and provide a review and your possible guess at what this might be. Laura automatically makes the list for having put in the effort and money to ship out samples on twelve occasions. We'll take volunteers over the next few days while naimitsu and I go through the racks of Goulet/Anderson sample vials and figure out which ones are in the "dislike" column and can be emptied to facilitate MI13. Once we're ready I'll enter names in some variety of online random name selector so everyone has the same chance.

I'm really looking forward to being on this side of it.

Let me know if you need sample vials, though, because I still have oodles.

I would like to join in but I'm moving next week so things might get complicated. But wanted to say "Thank you" for doing this. I look forward to seeing this rare mysterious beastie tested by others.

(I hope it's not a discontinued ink; guessing one of those, liking it & then finding it discontinued is frustrating & a bit pointless. )

I would love the chance to try out this ink. Sounds like it would be interesting to try out an ink without knowing anything about it. Thanks for creating continuing Mystery Ink. I enjoyed the posts on the other Mystery Ink samples.

    Hi Scooby
This sounds intriguing and I would love to receive a sample .

I will be in the US from Labor Day weekend, so if I was drawn out of the hat, my sample could either be sent to the UK or the US depending on when it's being mailed.

Do you know the address of where you are moving to? When will you actually be there? If I don't ship until next week it might meet you at the new address.

I'm going to wait until the weekend to pick the lucky reviewers. I won't be shipping until next week and if there are any samples going out international I'll probably mail them 3 or 4 days earlier than US recipients. So if you want to drop your name in the hat it would likely be perfect timing to have it shipped to wherever you'll be staying while in the US.

I'm returning home to the UK for six months from next week. But it's always a bit hectic when we shift base each time so I won't participate as I could likely end up delaying the process for everyone else. I'll watch with interest though.

    Thanks all the same.

I would be more than happy to drop my name in the hat and have my sample shipped to the US if I'm lucky enough to be selected.

You might as well participate. Without you there are only 5 "official" volunteers. I have identified at least 6 sample vials at home which can be cleaned out and used. I can certainly make more if there are any last minute volunteers in the next day or two.

Certainly! I think a proper ink review needs an international contingent.

You could still do a sample write-up and have fun with it. Just don't post a guess as you already know exactly what it is. If you'd like I can send you another sample vial so you have more. Perhaps you can use the [not so] mystery ink to entice a couple co-workers into checking out fountain pens .

I think I have enough for a write up, and a pen to put it in. I shall be a "mystery mole" and give my thoughts without giving it away 😎

Well, since there doesn't appear to have been an over abundance of volunteers everyone who raised a keyboard stroke wins.

I have one more vial available if someone wants it. The four of the five above can expect to see a private message from me requesting a shipping address. I already have an address for one of you having just recently sent a sample of ink your way .
