    Classically "Royal" Blues:
    Montblanc Royal Blue
    Sailor Ultramarine
    Aurora Blue

These three inks are very close in color and ironically the MB & Aurora are both good, if somewhat rarer, examples of inks that are very well lubricated but not necessarily wet. These are all great inks. All Blurpl-y blues.

    More truer blue blue
Visconti Blue (dark but really solidly blue)
Asa-gao (people tend to wildly exageratte how much purple is in this ink. It is a relatively pure clean medium blue. Purple content is very subtle)
Not fashionable but a little lighter (medium color medium saturation) simple Sheaffer Skrip Blue. A little dusty but not terrible.
Pilot/Namiki no purple but some subtle green. Not enough to ruin it for me though.

In-between: Waterman Florida Blue. It is a real blue but clearly has purple in it. Maybe not enough to be a royal blue but not that far off.

    Sapphire-esque
    Blue Velvet
    Shocking Blue (sort of)
    DC Supershow Blue

Not shy why anyone is mentioning Sailor Souten as this is pretty much a bright cerulean/sky blue with red sheen so people are just going to shout anything they like I guess.
Thanks a lot, stub, for this rather comprehensive rundown... Indeed, my personal, utterly subjective notion of a "blue blue" is probably tinted purple, as the school ink we were required to use was Royal Blue. Also the German nomenclature (which is where I'm coming from) does not consider these blues to be "Purpur", hence perhaps the confusing nature of my intro

Thanks very much! I had reviewed that terrific thread previously but somehow failed to put everything together.

It does look like Bungbox Sapphire is not necessarily a competitor here yet still lovely to me, except the price.

I would like to ask if anybody knows around how many inks in tones of blue we have. I tried to count but was to mess up. anyway, is no other colour, as far as I know, that have so many variations, is it? What´s the second?

Look at the Anderson Pens website and choose blue samples. And start counting.

And then realize that there are a probably twenty other brands of ink that Anderson doesn't carry, and each of those brands likely offers two or three different shades of "blue".

The goulet pen guys offer sample packs that are not too expensive and allow you you test a number of inks.
You can choose sample packs by color

I'll have to try Aurora blue. I thought it might be a little washed out. I'm partial to noodlers ottoman azure blue. I like a blue with some pop.

Meanwhile I got my bottle of Aurora Blue, and it is a very nice ink indeed. While it is a rather common shade of purple-tinged royal blue, it has a higher saturation than any other ink of this shade that I tried so far and flows very well, and is also very well behaved on the paper (no tendency to spread/feather). Precisely the shade, intensity and other qualities I've been looking for, so thanks again to all the recommenders!
This will not manage to steer me away from my mainstay brownish-greenish earth tones, and certainly not replace my favorite ink, R&K Sepia, but it managed to help rekindle my fascination with blue.
[This was, by the way, inspired by an exhibit in the town museum of my hometown called "Blautoene" ("shades of blue" or "blue tones") which incorporated interactive displays, texts, videos, sound installations and multi-media rooms, all dedicated to the cultural, artistic, psychological and physiological "meanings" of the colors we usually bundle together as "blues"]
