Jon is a drummer. Yeah I know it is hard to like a drummer but he is Szanto. I haven't heard from him in a while and the LA show is in a few days and last I checked he wasn't having a lot of fun and he needs a distraction from work and all the other things AND I need to contact him in some way about when and where at the show...

Post a video of a song that will get Jon in the LA Pen Show mood and with luck he will let me know when and where he will be hanging out..

As to the good tunes being offered, I love it all. Of note to Freddie: that hellacious and adorable bassist in the Beck video? Tal Wilkinfeld, whom I had the great pleasure of hanging out with a bit backstage at the Temple of the Dog show in LA. She's a sweetheart, but more importantly, she totally gets it done on the bass and is a wonderful singer, too. Big fave.

You get to hang out with Tal Wilkenfeld? I first listened to her playing at the promotion for Kala's U-Bass (that's one interesting little instrument by its own right), then learned that she can sing and play bass (and sounded wonderful) with her own group. Very, very talented young lady.
