    Default Vintage Pen Band

I have a vintage pen I have partaily restored. It has a decorative gold band, what is the best way to reset it?

You mean the band is loose, or spins? The best fix is with a swaging tool, but a tad expensive if you're only doing one. Second best way to fix that, I'm told, is with Capt. Tolley's Creeping Crack Cure. It will wick under the band and secure better and with less mess than super-glue.

Where would I look to find a swaging tool?

Search for an ER25 collect chuck or tool spindle. This place in Britain has them. http://www.rdgtools.co.uk/

There's a couple threads about it at "that other fountain pen site."
