Red Hero 100 14k gold nib. It turns out to be a good pen in its own right, not just an also-ran to the Parker 45.

That's a nice Autoflow, I picked one up a while back that's a pretty trashed blue version. I've got it restored to working condition but the nib needs a little straightening and the cosmetics are bad, trying to figure out how to un spring the clip.

I was lucky - the clip is very good, but it was easy to unscrew the clip screw; just a bit of heat and a pair of section pliers.

My latest pen was a beautiful Twsbi diamond 580 in black and rose gold, a pen i've been looking forward to having. Unfortunately after being returned for adjustment it was still completely unusable skipping like crazy so it's gone back for good this time, very disappointed

I gave in and ordered the fall Edison Nouveau Premiere from Goulet Pens. I couldn't resist the beautiful, slightly transparent "Autumn Harvest" acrylic. Now I'm eagerly staking out my mailbox.

This one is a bit of a treat for the Pelikan collectors out there...a vintage 300 with a flexible nib.

I agree, they do make some lovely pens but what good are they if we can't use them. I'm glad you got a good one, not sure if i'll chance another one though, i might just save up for the pelican that i want.

I just got a Jinhao 159 650. It's a wonderfully gaudy pen. I think it weighs about 5 pounds, and the barrel is covered in panes of iridescent seashell. Mine writes nicely and wetly. Good desk pen, because it will hold down ALL of your papers if there is a hurricane, and no one is likely to steal it, and probably can't without a handcart.

I got my onoto in the mail yesterday.

    onoto1.jpgOnoto2.jpg

The pictures don't really do it justice, it's a nice blue marble that looks really 3 dimensional still.
