Today I'm reviewing Cult Pens Platinum Jubilee ink, one of their latest exclusive inks made by Diamine. This is one of only two inks in this series, the other being Coronation.
This is an unsaturated blue ink with silver shimmer that was issued to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth 11 that was celebrated during June 2022.
It didn’t suffer from any hard starts or non-starts when I put the uncapped pen down to do swab tests, dry times and water resistance.
I found no start-up problems after leaving the pen overnight.
It dried quite quickly on most of my papers used and once dry it didn’t smudge or smear.
I saw a very small amount of show through and bleed through on my Xerox 120gsm smooth, coated paper.
The silver shimmer is much more visible when using pens with broader nibs and good flow on smooth papers where it doesn’t soak in immediately.
These two celebration inks are sold in Diamine 50ml Inkvent style glass bottles with feet.
