More Japan in Italy--Kato Hiroshi
Lathe master Mr. Kato Hiroshi worked for Visconti around 1990 and was responsible for some of the Visconti models of the time. Among them, the Visconti Ragtime 2nd generation.
Back in Japan in the early 2000 he created his own line under the name Kato Seisakusho. For this endeavor, he used local celluloid from Daicel (Osaka Celluloid). The gold nibs were made by Sailor, albeit not labeled as such. Steel nibs, not shown here, were Schmidt's.
On the pics we can see three Kato Seisakusho pens together with a Visconti Ragtime:

Visconti Ragtime (piston filler) on top. Then, Kato models 2000, 850, and 800F (piston filler).
And on this second pic a close up of the nibs:

Note how Kato used two different sizes of Sailor nibs.
Cheers,
BT
