    Default Chinese Capless ca 1990. Wuhan Pen Company

    Long before the current trend of Chinese knock-offs of Japanese capless pens there were a couple of Chinese attempts to create that style of pens. One of them was the Dagong 56 by the Wuhan Pen Company.

    This pen is made of stainless steel. And the nib, gold plated, is also made of steel. The filling system is a built-in bladder sac:

    Its quality is not the best, to be polite. On the following pic you can see the rough edges on the opening:

    Interesting, nonetheless. And it is also a testament of how much the Chinese industry has improved over the years.
