Default Edison Collier as a bulb-filler in Antique Acrylic Marble - delicious (1 of 2)

    Hi FPGeeks,

I'm preparing a post about my second Edison Collier that has a special twist to it (the story not the pen!). To set the stage I wanted to share a little background. This is how I became introduced to Brian Gray and the Edison Pen Company, together with some eye candy

After learing about Brian Gray and his Edison Pen Company through FPN and Brian and Rachel Goulet, the good folks at Goulet Pen Company / Inknouveau.com I had to make the Edison Pen Company booth at the 2011 DC Pen Show my first - and second - stop of the day. Out of pure enthusiasm for the way Brian and his wife walked me and my wife through the styles, materials, and all manner of craftsmanship, two things happened: Brian made the vision I had for an "old-school style" custom fountain pen into a real possibility, and I ordered it! Thanks, Brian, for your "eye candy becomes food-for-thought" SmugMug sites!

By the way, Brian and is wife are just simply fantastic folks in every respect.

Now...on to the unboxing of my most prized fountain pen:

Brian makes the experience even more special with a personal note, and guide and instruction sheets.

The case for your pen compliments is very nicely.

My custom Edison Pen Company Collier in Antique Marble acrylic as a bulb-filler with a long amber ink window and a two-tone fine point nib complete with the engraved Edison Pen Company logo.

The cap, the pen section and body, and the blind cap.

I especially like how the engraving looks on the long amber ink window.

    Thanks.

I don't have an Edison pen yet and yours makes me want one even more. I am thinking of getting in on the FPN Pearl LE pen buy.

    fountainpenkid,

Go to Brian's web site and check out the Pearlette - he designed it with just what you said in mind.

I have the Herald (a trifle big) and the Pearlette (Perfect size and I love it) and heartily recommend the latter to those small of hand.

This is why I am so in love with the industry. Such personal pride and attention and kindness along the way. I have loved the personal touches I have seen with so many of my purchases. You don't see that so universally in too many others.
