I did not get the tomoe river paper. I use lines and the ones with lines are exceptional.

    Good news, bad news.

Bad news is that I only have 2 three-packs of the Tomoe River Edition left.

Good new is that i just arranged to get another 2000 sheets of Tomoe River paper, so I'll have more sets of Backpocket Journals very soon.

Thanks to everyone for the interest.

Full marks to Steve Curnow, you can't get Tomoe River paper in UK and he was most helpful in getting back promptly to my barrage of requests for costs, we finally settled on it being most advantageous to send just one! Still worked out at an astounding £11.00 per one book, it had better be good Thanks for your help Steve, now I'm watching for the postman...

Ill update this later with a writing sample but wanted to get a quick pic of the books up now. I really like the red threading used to bind the books. They hold tight and keep the pages secure. Rounded pages and a nice stiff but flexible cover.

    Well done !!!

Ok I did a small writing sample with a BB stub thats WET and a Spencerian cut nib that has some bit to it but a lot of flex that can lay down some serious amounts of ink. While there is some ghosting or shadowing on the back of the paper those who have used Tomoe River paper know this is how it is. BUT the ink just will not bleed through. I used Iroshizuku Kon-peki in both pens.
First is a writing sample, second pic is the back of the page and the last i just a pic of the books lol.

Used mine this week for note taking at a conference. Worked wonderfully. Love this paper. Just wish it was lined as I'm a sloppy writer. Thanks, Steve!
