Making a Kawexo Pen
Does anyone follow sbebrown's youtube feed?
I've been watching his reviews for a little while, but I've only just happened across his Frankenpen experiments.

In this video, he uses a Noodler's Piston filling flex pen, and a Kaweco nib unit to make a $26 pen with a gold plated nib - I do wonder if this would work with the Noodlers nib in the Kaweco body, to give a highly portable flex pen...
Now that would be cool .. I go and watch the video ...
I posted a coment about how it should be called the Nooweco instead.
Interesting although why would one bother unless one had spare parts?

Keep Kaweco on your radar. They hinted around to a bringing back a production piston filler.
I want them to bring back the safety filler. Please, oh please.
A piston filler & safety filler would be excellent, and in that handy size, too. Found this history of the Kaweco Sport while looking at pics online.
Oh yeah, Stephen's YouTube pen & ink reviews are great! He is very fair and tries to present a balanced view of the stuff he reviews. Highly recommended!

Created the same problem for myself as well.
I follow Stevens videos since day one and found them always very inspiring. I took up his idea but since I don't have a Noodler's flex pen to swap the nib with, I call mine the "Kawoodler's piston pen'. I think his is a great idea and I love my 'new' pen, works great with the old ebonite feed in my Noodlers.
Like Stephen says "Its alive!!!"...

You can also just use an early 90's Kaweco Sport nib to get some flex ^_^
The Nib does not have exactly the same shape as the new ones so the nib goes in deeper. This combination is rather wet - I made it an eyedropper because I once damaged the part where cartridges are attached to. The feed can keep up the flow.
Ihe ink is Waterman Florida blue. I may change to Lamy Black as it seems to be wetter which leads to less railroading during flexing.

Oh, that is NICE.
Only problem: I don't know how long the nib will survive the duress, as it was clearly not made for flexing.
