    I know this ink is called Shoreline Gold, but that isn't really Shoreline Gold. Regardless, a very nice looking ink

    One of my big favourites for flow as well as appearance. I shall certainly be buying another bottle before the current one runs out.

    Apparently there have been some pronounced colour variations between batches (Stephen's Inkcyclopedia entry goes into that), but my sample looks pretty much the same as Heath's.

    It's a gorgeous colour, it's just not what I would call Shoreline Gold. Pretty close but, at the same time, not the same thing.

    Regardless, it looks like a lovely ink, I like it!

    No, I've never really understood the name either. It clings nicely to a dip nib, by the way ... come to think of it do you want a sample?

    Looks very nice. How does it compare to Caran d'Ache's Saffron? I'm due to run-out of that soon, and would love a replacement.
