Smile De-Atramentis Poppy Red with 3 nibs/2 Pens, and three different writing papers

De-Atramentis inks are from Germany. Their website is quite nicely customer-focused.
They make a ample variety of inks to indulge the senses.

I was highly advised by my local Pen and Stationery retailer to try this particular colour from DeAtramentis.

The packaging is quite nice and simple, the black box and nicely shaped bottle.

As you can see on all three papers, when wet the red is quite strong and lively. However when the ink dries,
it dries red-pink. In comparison to the Mont Blanc Leonardo Red Chalk, this is a very different red.

This ink looks closer to 'red' than the Red Chalk. The Poppy Red takes slightly longer to dry.

This brand of ink does not have an expiry or best-by date like the Mont Blanc inks do.

Pricing of this ink for a 35 ml bottle is a little cheaper than the 30 ml limited edition of Mont Blanc inks
in Australia. However the non limited 60 ml edition of Mont Blanc inks are approximately the same price
as the 30 ml limited edition ones.

On white paper it does dry red, coloured paper pink. It dries on white paper a little like a typical red biro ink.

It still feels nicer and smoother to write with the Mont Blanc Meisterstuck LeGrand 90th Anniversary Broad Nib.

    Feedback appreciated
