Hello from Edmonton, Alberta!
I've been a member on here for a few weeks now, but have been lurking (or on FPN...) more than anything, but I figured I should introduce myself. I've also been binge-listening to FPTV podcasts and it has been the BEST THING EVERRRRRR.
So: hi! I'm relatively new to fountain pens, but let's just say that I fell in love very very fast and very very hard. I got my first fountain pens (some Pilot Varsities and a Lamy Safari) while on vacation in early July, and since then I've become 100% obsessed. I have a shoebox full of ink and 15 pens, now, not counting the ones in the mail to me and the Heros and Varsities I've bought and given away
My favourite pens and ink? Well, I'm about to start my graduate studies in mathematics, so I have to use extra-fine nibs pretty often for the subscripts and symbols. I like my Safari and Al-Star for that, as well as my fine Pilot Metropolitan and fine Platinum #3776 Nice. Otherwise, I do a lot of letter-writing and journaling, which allow me to be a LOT MORE FUN with nibs. I love my Pelikan 140, Noodler's Ebonite Konrad, and Noodler's Nib Creaper for that. It's hard for me to choose my favourite ink, but so far my top picks are Noodler's La Reine Mauve, Noodler's 54th Massachusetts, Noodler's Apache Sunset, Diamine Amazing Amethyst, Rohrer & Klingner Alt-Goldgruün, and Diamine Chocolate Brown.
