Default Custom carbon fiber, lume and titanium piston filler

    Hello everyone,
after a long time of not making any really noteworthy pen, I have something I think is going to be awesome, so I thought I'd finally register here and share.
This is a pen for one customer of mine, a guy I love working for because he always enthusiasticly supports every foolishness I come up with :-)
This time, he mentioned carbon fiber and I came up with a design I know and like, made it a piston filler with a visible ink chamber, flip-out piston control and titanium hardware. There are still parts to be made and the whole pen needs to be properly finished, however the piston mechanism already works nicely and the pen writes really nicely too. The carbon fiber used on this is really high tech stuff, baked under high pressure with special binder, so there are absolutely no bubbles and voids and it holds together ( meaning it won't split when threading like the cheap (bleep)).
The plan is to anodize the titanium hardware to a green color.
    Now for some pictures :-)

    The whole pen.

    Piston control

Piston mechanism together with ink chamber. Someone had a bright idea to machine grooves into the chamber and fill them with luminous paint.

Now the whole chamber glows slightly ominously in the dark :-)

Handmade titanium nib - hot formed, covered with a lot of oxides, requiring a lot of further clean up.

And hand made feed, I love me a transparent feed :-) a lot of cleanup on this as well.

Thank you for looking, take care,
    Ondrej

You made the titanium nib, the feed, the section and woven the carbon fibers and painted them! Even the filling system looks amazing! Really outstanding work of art!

The pictures should be working now.

Ignacio, you are right except I bought the cf as a pre-made block. If I was to make it, it would probably not be this flawless.

Guess a little update won't hurt, I made the cap click mechanism today as well as played around with sort of a tube nib. I made a prototype from brass and the owner liked it so I made a larger one from titanium.

    The brass prototype

And the titanium one. The feed ( transparent one ) will go into the tube after I make it.

So, this pen got away so quickly I haven't even had time to take some pictures :-) However, the owner provided me with these two to show until he visits our photographer. Please enjoy and share any comments or criticism you might have.
