Of course it is hand written.

As usual wonderful photos and detailed review. That blue ink is rather purple in tone.

The A.G. Spalding & Bros. Mini Fountain Pen is a very pleasing design with a quality look about it.
The metal finish reminds me of my Staedtler 925 mech pencils.

Great review KI, though the pen is not for me with so many non-cartridge mini's out there. Hey, your cursive looked great in the Date, next time go all the way!

Thanks Ken. The ink is rather purple. Very close to Lamy Blue but a tad brighter and less chalky looking. Yes, the fit and finish of the pen does have a good quality look and feel to it.

    Thank you writingrav.

I do not know of too many mini pens. Let's see: Vintage Parker Duofold Jr., Kaweco Sport, Kaweco Liliput, Bexley Jitterbug, Stipula Passaporto and this A.G. Spalding. There is a Jinhao mini bullet pen too. I am not counting any Fisher space pens since I am looking at fountain pens only. There are vintage Kaweco piston fillers too but I am not familiar with specific model names. Then the various ring top vintage pens. Please enlighten me, what am I missing and what should I be looking at?

    Hey KI
I think you've hit all that I know, except for the Stipula Bon Voyage. I have the Bon Voyage, the Passporto, the Jitterbug, the Jinhao Stealth, the Ohto Rocket, and 2 Kaweco sports. Doesn't that count as many?

Ah, forgot about the Bon Voyage and Ohto Rocket. How is that Bon Voyage working for you?

Absolutely love it. The Ohto Rocket, on the other hand, was a big disappointment. Pretty much fell apart in my hands.
