Does anyone have a list of Scripto Model Numbers for the "K" series and for instance what differentiates a K750 from a K760 from a K780, etc.?
Thank you,
Michael Little

Try here.
Farmboy,
Roger Russell has a fine site with lots of info but what I am trying to get a handle on is when I pick up a Scripto which most people simply label as a Scripto "Classic", have I got a K750, K760, K770 or maybe a K780.
I am looking for a guide to identify members of the 700 series.
Beyond that, it would be nice if someone had a list of the older models like 4-47, M800, Wordmaster and so forth with production run dates. I don't know if anyone has ever compiled a list like that. If they have, it was probably someone who may have worked for Scripto or sold their products.

Mike educated me that the MS-1 was the earlier version of the M800, with the ball clip - just blogged about that over at Leadhead's a while ago. It was also known as the "Rite Ezee."
From what I remember, I ran across a few ads for the Wordmaster on Google Books. Won't pin down precise dates, but it would help. I also have a 1951 catalog . . . somewhere . . . the PCA library recently added one, too.
